Bamboo Tape

I've just ordered a stash of the above Rowan Bamboo tape. I have never used it before to crochet with, but was very impressed last week whilst visiting my Mother -in-law, when she showed me a knitted tunic she had recently made using the tape . The finished garment had a lovely silky feel and a nice weight to it. Any other hookers have any experience using it? I ordered it for only 69p a ball from Kemp wool shop , so feel like I'm getting a bargain to boot.

Whilst browsing on Ravelry last night I found a fantastic cardigan pattern, and plan to make it using the grey bamboo tape.
I am now counting the days for my yarn order to arrive.....sad or what??

I have crocheted with it - a cushion - and it is lovely to work with. I think, sadly, that the reason it is only 69p a ball is because it has been discontinued!

Beautiful. Think I'd be tempted to make the arms and overall length longer than the pattern? What colour are you going to go for?

Ah you said grey... sorry! Would love to see the knitted tunic that your mother in law made too - Bamboo yarn is just fab.

seems pretty much about right to me - not sad at all.

Well I just bought the same yarn except it is pink and I can't find a cardgan or even a top knitting pattern to download for free. I can also crochet. It is really annoying. I paid €2.50/ballband which in here is not too bad considering the excessive price for yarn in other shops!
I also heard that that yarn tends to stretch and change shape through wearing and washing. So I'll probably go for crochet instead as it is much tighter in texture...

If you know any free pattern to download (knitting or crochet or both please let me know!).
